The founders of the company Xylo-Carbone relied on the pooling of their respective resources in wood engineering and forestry operations to create this brand new entity in 2017.
The company located in Saint-Tite (Mauricie, Quebec), specializes in the transformation of wood into plant carbon products. It uses a manufacturing process which allows the recovery of pyrolysis gases. The main applications are: hardwood charcoal for cooking on BBQs, biochar for the revaluation of soil in agriculture as well as biocarbon for replacing non-renewable earth mineral coal in metallurgy.
The company also operates a log cutting and sorting site on more than 15 hectares of land. This approach minimizes waste in the forest and allows Xylo-Carbone to actively participate in the sound management of neighboring forests.
The valorization of biosourced products is based on innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly technologies. Through our shared commitment and respect for our fundamental values, we can make a difference
in a constantly changing world.
